Tool result

A tool result is what comes back after the agent does something: the file contents, the output, or the error.

It is the only way the agent finds out what happened. It cannot see your screen and it does not know if something worked until the result arrives.

A tool that fails silently is worse than one that errors, because the agent carries on believing it succeeded.
